The Italian Short Film Center is a project carried out by the National AIACE (Italian Association of Friends of Art Cinema), in partnership with the Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Its mission is the conservation and sharing of Italian short films. To be exact, it is the only Italian film library dedicated to short film and is the promotional agency of Italian shorts, nationally and internationally. Created in 2007, CNC has overseen the digitalization and restoration of over 100 films; it directs the monthly show "Art shorts" at the National Museum of Cinema in Torino; it promotes the circulation of Italian short films in cinemas, film clubs and specialized events; it is the showcase for Italian shorts in the most important international short film festival, the Festival International du Court-métrage in Clermont-Ferrand and it publishes specialized and popular books on Italian and International short films.
