The National Cinema Museum is presenting the showcase titled The edge of darkness –Denis Villeneuve‘s cinema at the Cinema Massimo, from Friday 13 to Friday 27 January. This showcase at the Cinema Massimo will be inaugurated on Friday 13 January at 4.30 p.m. by the screening of Un 32 août sur terre (August 32nd on Earth). Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
Art as a style of life. Tribute to Derek Jarman showcase.
Cinema Massimo – from 2 to 19 December 2016 – Screen Three
The National Cinema Museum is presenting a showcase titled Art as a style of life. Tribute to Derek Jarman at the Cinema Massimo, from Friday 2 to Monday 19 December. This tribute to the English filmmaker is following the screening of Jubilee organised by the 34th Torino Film Festival within the framework of the showcase on punk, and will introduce the Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo’s Jubilee musical event, which will take place at Blah Blah (via Po 21, Turin) on Thursday 8 December at 9.30 p.m.
The showcase in the Cinema Massimo will be inaugurated by the screening of Sebastiane on Friday 2 December at 6.30 p.m. Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
LANGHE-ROERO AND MONFERRATO PRIZE TO PAOLO SORRENTINO

The National Cinema Museum in Turin and the Torino Film Festival have founded the LANGHE-ROERO AND MONFERRATO PRIZE, in collaboration with the PiedmontRegion, which will be awarded annually to an internationally outstanding figure from the film world.
PAOLO SORRENTINO will be the award recipient, during a charity dinner under the aegis of Matteo Baronetto, the chef at Del Cambio restaurant in Turin, in favour of the Fondazione La Stampa – Specchio dei Tempi, which will take place on 25 November starting at 8.00 p.m. at the Palazzo della Luce in Turin.
PRIZE CABIRIA 2016 – MUSEO NAZIONALE DEL CINEMA
Hotel Principi di Piemonte - 22 november 2016, 8.30 p.m.
The National CinemaMuseum in Turin established the PREMIO CABIRIA in 2015, an important prize awarded annually to a filmmaker, an actor or an actress who have particularly distinguished themselves for their activities during the year with their contribution to the art of film.
This second edition of the award will also take place concurrently with the 34th Torino Film Festival, in order to highlight its connection with the most important cinematographic event of the year in town.
The recipient will be ALBA ROHRWACHER, during a charity dinner in favour of the Fondazione Crescere Insieme al Sant’Anna Onlus, which is taking place on Tuesday 22 November at the Principi di Piemonte Hotel starting from 8.30 p.m.
