Ma l’amor mio non muore! (by Mario Caserini, 1913) occupies a special place amongst the films that left their mark on collective imagination in the early Italian 20th century. Indeed, not only did it influence subsequent cinema, but also the style, taste, way of creating hairdos, attitudes and falling in love of an entire generation. Such success must be ascribed in particular to two opposite and complementary personalities: Lyda Borelli and Mario Caserini, the diva and her director. The volume offers a journey into an analysis of the film context, starting from its new restoration carried out in 2013.

The author will be in conversation with: Elena Dagrada (Milan State University). Meeting moderator: Silvio Alovisio (Turin University).
