The Monday afternoon showcase is back, with DOUBLE DREAM, a cycle dedicated to the fantastic cinema of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, which will open on Monday 7 December with the screening of Stairway to heaven.
Masters of melodrama and technicolor, these two filmmakers, friends and colleagues always created films and stories that were bigger than life, exalting the absolute centrality of the eye and of vision. Their films are shows at the umpteenth degree, they are theatre and literature, painting and poetry.
