BOOK OF THE MONTH 2 is dedicated to the figure of Caterina Boratto, with a  book written by her son Paolo Ceratto and by Franco Prono.

Library/Mediatheque – 24 March 2015, 6.30 p.m. - Events Room

Second date this year with BOOK OF THE MONTH, a new cycle of meetings at the Library/Mediatheque featuring the introduction of new books, dedicated to the figure of Caterina Boratto, with the presentation of the volume Caterina Boratto. Una regalità completa (Caterina Boratto. Complete regality), by Paolo Ceratto and Franco Prono, Daniela Piazza Editors 2014.

Caterina Boratto, this brilliant actress figure from Turin, became a film star ever since her debut in the successful film Vivere (To live) (1936) by Guido Brignone. Following a stint in Hollywood, she left her job for a long time. She returned to film with 8 1/2 by Federico Fellini, who saw a “complete regality” in her. In over 50 years of career between cinema, television, theatre and radio, she was able to stand out on screen by highlighting her qualities: talent, professionalism and beauty, thus managing to challenge the rules of her time. Maria Paola Pierini (Turin University) will be in conversation with the authors.

Meeting moderator: Marco Grifo (NCM).
