First rendez-vous for AMATI DA...(BELOVED BY...) with the screening of films Red River by Howard Hawks and Directed by John Ford by Peter Bogdanovich.


For this inaugural date of BELOVED BY…A trip into American cinema, the National Cinema Museum presents the film screening of Red River by Howard Hawks, introduced by Mariella Lazzarin and Hamilton Santià, on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo, Friday 18 May 2012, at 8 p.m. To follow at 10.30 p.m., screening of Directed by John Ford, a documentary shot by Peter Bogdanovich in 1971 and dedicated to film director John Ford.

 

 

Cinema Massimo - from 21 to 29 May, Screen Three.

 

The National Cinema Museum presents The river of history. Jia Zhang-ke Retrospective at the Cinema Massimo. Dario Tomasi will attend the cinema, to introduce the film opening this showcase.

 

 The National Cinema Museum offers a tribute to Jia Zhang-ke – the film director viewed as one of the most interesting figures in new Chinese cinema – with a retrospective entitled The river of history. Jia Zhang-ke Retrospective, from Monday 21 to Tuesday 29 May 2012. This retrospective is a project by the Bologna Film Archives Foundation set up in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum and the Italian Film Archives Foundation.

 For MAGNIFICENT VISIONS: The Permanent Festival of Restored Film, the National Cinema Museum presents the film Annie Hall by Woody Allen in the print restored digitally by Hollywood Classics, Tuesday 22 May 2012, at 8.45 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Repeat screening Wednesday 23 May 2012 at 4 p.m.
