- SATURDAY 10 DECEMBER, at 9.15 p.m. – SCREEN THREE

In conjunction with the Sottodiciotto Filmfestival, film director Alan Parker presents his film The Life of David Gale.

 

In conjunction with the Sottodiciotto Filmfestival, on Saturday, 10 December 2011 at 9.15 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, the film director Alan Parker will introduce a screening of his film The Life of David Gale, a gripping thriller about the death sentence. The film will be screened in its original version with Italian subtitles. Free admission.

 

 

- SUNDAY 11 DECEMBER, at 6.00 p.m. – SCREEN THREE

A second event featuring the film director Alan Parker who, in conjunction with the Sottodiciotto Filmfestival, will introduce the film Pink Floyd The Wall.

 

As part of the Sottodiciotto Filmfestival, on Sunday, 11 December 2011 at 6 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, Alan Parker will present his film Pink Floyd The Wall, the film version of the British band’s concept album. The film will be screened in its original version with Italian subtitles. Free admission.

 

 

- MONDAY 12 DECEMBER, at 3.15 p.m. – SCREEN THREE

The last event featuring Alan Parker, who will introduce a screening of the film The Commitments, reserved for young people between 15 and 20 years of age, for the Sottodiciotto Filmfestival.

 

The last event with film director Alan Parker will be on Monday, 12 December 2011 at 3.15 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, where he will meet the young audience of the Sottodiciotto Film Festival and present his film The Commitments, based on Roddy Doyle’s 1988 novel. The film will be screened in its original version with Italian subtitles. Young people between 15 and 20 years of age only.

The tribute to Alan Parker will continue, from Sunday 18th to Wednesday 21st December 2011 inclusive, in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, with a complete retrospective devoted to him, entitled Alan Parker, a director on the wings of success. The retrospective, organised by Stefano Boni and Massimo Quaglia, is a Sottodiciotto Filmfestival project, produced in partnership with the National Cinema Museum.
