The Mylfestival collective presents Face On, the showcase organised by cinema students and scholars for a young public. The first two films are Scream 4 by W. Craven and Laurence Anyways by X. Dolan.

Cinema Massimo –11/25 January 2016 – Screen Three

This year’s novelty is the beginning of a showcase that is the result of a hybrid project, conducted jointly by the National Cinema Museum and the University of Turin, involving students and scholars with the aim of creating a showcase designed specifically a young public. The whole process of putting together the showcase was managed by fifteen students from different disciplines, forming a work-group called Mylfestival (an acronym for Movies You'll Like Festival) offering a cycle of films from January to May on the theme of masks, formulated along a dialogue between released and non-released cinema in Italy. Mylfestival’s ambition is also to stimulate a grassroots debate after the viewing, choosing to propose this as a further experience, in the wake of the respected film-clubs tradition, but in a refined manner, to bring out the beauty of discussion anew.

The first two films in the showcase are Scream 4 by Wes Craven on Monday 11 at 9.00 p.m. and Laurence Anyways di Xavier Dolan on Monday 25 at 9.00 p.m.

Each film will also be paired with a short film, chosen by the public at the cinema for the following rendez-vous.

Admission 3.00 euro.
