The National Museum of Cinema pays tribute to Michelangelo Antonioni

Cinema Massimo – From the 13th January to the 2nd February 2010

The National Museum of Cinema pays tribute to the film director Michelangelo Antonioni, who died in 2007, with a far-reaching retrospective festival at Cinema Massimo from the 13th of January to the 2nd of February 2010. The tribute will open on Wednesday 13 January 2010 at 8.30pm in Cinema Massimo's Screen 3 with a screening of the director's first feature film: Cronaca di un amore (Story of a Love Affair). The retrospective, entitled Landscape with figures: The films of Michelangelo Antonioni, is a project organised by the National Museum of Cinema and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Cinematography Centre) - Cineteca Nazionale (National Film Archive) produced in partnership with the Film Archive of the Borough Council of Bologna, The Film Foundation, Rai Teche, the Friuli Film Archive, the CNC (The National Short Film Centre), the British Film Institute, Cooper Films and Sony Classics.
