CULT!: Lady Snowblood 1 and Lady Snowblood 2 by Fujita Toshiya

 

For the November rendez-vous with CULT!, the National Cinema Museum presents the film screenings of Lady Snowblood 1 – at 4.30 and 8.30 p.m. – and Lady Snowblood 2 at 6.30 and 8.30 p.m. by Japanese filmmaker Fujita Toshiya, whose dyptich inspired Quentin Tarantino in the making of his better known Kill Bill, Friday 2 November 2012, on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.

CineMai-Tribute to Ottavio Mai

 

For the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Ottavio Mario Mai’s demise, the National Cinema Museum – in collaboration with the Arcigay Committee in Turin dedicated to him and with the City of Turin’s patronage – will host the retrospective titled CineMai- Tribute to Ottavio Mai, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2012, on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Admission: 4 euro.

THE CINEMA OF OTHERS: El Matt. Vita violenta di Benito Mussolini by Sergio Leszczynski and Emilio Gentile, attending the cinema with Giovanni Minoli and Marcella Beccaria

 

For the occasion of La storia che non ho vissuto (Testimone Indiretto) [The history I did not live through (Indirect witness)] exhibition, Rai 150-La Storia siamo noi (Rai 150-We are History) and the National Cinema Museum present the premiere of the film El Matt - Vita violenta di Benito Mussolini (The Madman - Benito Mussolini’s violent life) by Sergio Leszczynski, attending the cinema to introduce the screening together with Giovanni Minoli - president of Castello di Rivoli and author of the programme La storia siamo noi, the exhibition curator Marcella Beccaria and the documentary co-author Emilio Gentile, Monday 5 November at 6 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. The CSC-Cineteca Nazionale (National Film Archives), the Archivio Nazionale Cinema d’Impresa (National Archives for Business Cinema) and the National Cinema Museum present the Off&Pop showcase dedicated to experimental Italian cinema from the ’60s to the ’80s, from Wednesday 7 to Thursday 15 November 2012.
