CABIRIA CINEMA PRIZE awarded to Alberto Barbera, Director of the National Museum of Cinema.

Alberto Barbera, Director of the National Museum of Cinema, has been awarded the Cabiria Cinema Prize promoted by Asti, Citadel of Cinema as part of CARTAPESTA, LENZUOLA E MANOVELLE (PAPIER MACHE, SHEETS AND HANDLES): CABIRIA FILM PRIZES FOR 2009.

The prizes, given in honour of Giovanni Pastrone, are now in their fifth edition and intend to help promote the career of this great Asti-based director, a genius of the silent film, with this great event. The prizes are awarded every two years to people, organisations and associations who strive to promote the world of film.
