Time after Time. Nespolocinema
The National Cinema Museum has organized at the Mole Antonelliana an exhibition of previously unpublished images showing Ugo Nespolo’s relationship with cinema.
The exhibit in the Temple Hall and along the outside railing consists of 125 large-sized works that retrace his career, from his early works in Super8 from 1967 to his most recent works today: there are roughly one hundred frames from his films, enlarged and “treated” to turn them into real pictures with an artistic expression of their own, a selection of his famous acrylics dedicated to cinema, as well as ten historical posters from exhibits and shows re-printed on fabric. To complete the exhibit, video installations offer a look at the artist’s complete cinematographic opus.
The exhibit also features the catalog “Time after Time. Nesplocinema,” with all the exhibition’s works, an essay by Marco Giusti and an introduction by Alberto Barbera.
