Cinema Massimo – 8 July 2013, 9.00 p.m. – Screen One

The National Cinema Museum is hosting the evening event organised by the National Cinema Museum Association in celebration of the Sixtieth anniversary from its foundation, which took place in Turin on 7 July 1953, Monday 8 July 2013 at 9.00 p.m., at Screen One in the Cinema Massimo.

In detail, the latest issue of the Mondo Niovo 18-24 f/ magazine will be presented as well as the new call for Scholarships named after Roberto Radicati, Miss Prolo’s historic collaborator, and the centrepiece of the event will be the sound accompaniment, performed live, of some silent movies from Turin, all recently restored by the National Cinema Museum (Robinet innamorato di una chanteuse, Fricot e l’estintore, Polidor e i gatti, Troppo bello with sound provided by the 1911 Lokomotif Ensemble, Fabrizio Gaggini and the UNSTEADY CONCEPTIONS) during this evening at the Cinema Massimo.

The evening will open with the screening of an extremely rare documentary about the National Cinema Museum shot by Ubaldo Magnaghi in 1963 with Maria Adriana Prolo’s collaboration.
