First rendez-vous for the JUST WATCH THEM! showcase with the film screening of Mimì metallurgico ferito nell’onore (Mimi the metalworker) by Lina Wertmüller, on Monday 25 November 2013, at 3.30 p.m., in the events room at the Library/Mediatheque. Introduced by Giulia Muggeo.

JUST WATCH THEM! is cycle of rendez-vous dedicated to two of the most important female performers in Italian cinema, Monica Vitti and Mariangela Melato. Starting from the Sixties, these two artists have not only represented a new model for acting characterised by ironical traits, but a new female model as well, capable of impersonating a whole range of figures, which have left their mark on the cinematographic collective imagination of our country. The showcase is organised in collaboration with DAMS – Turin University and the Ultracorpi sperduti nel buio university film Group.
