Lacune binarie is a research on the panorama of film restoration, between the analogical dimension and digital innovation. This book explores one of the most relevant aspects of the current debate within Film Studies, that is, the problem of film material preservation both in aesthetic and historic instances, as mankind heritage and as a part of collective memory.
