As part of the events organised to mark the centenary of the death of Emilio Salgari, IL CINEMA DEGLI ALTRI and the National Cinema Museum will host a screening of Mario Soldati’s film Jolanda la figlia del Corsaro Nero (Jolanda, the daughter of the Black Corsair) on Wednesday, 11 May 2011 at 8.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, introduced by Laura Nay and Franco Prono. The screening is one of the events held during the convention entitled “La penna che non si spezza”: (“The pen that doesn’t break”: Emilio Salgari a century after his death), organised by the University of Turin’s Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy and the Fondazione Tancredi di Barolo. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
