For the occasion of the Milan Expo 2015, the Karel Zeman Museum of Prague, are presenting the world premiere of the restored The deadly invention by Karel Zeman.

For the occasion of the Milan Expo 2015, the Karel Zeman Museum of Prague and the Czech Republic Pavilion at the Universal Exhibition, in -collaboration with the České bijáky Foundation and Czech TV - with the patronage of the honorary Consul of the Czech Republic for Liguria and Piedmont Dr. Franco Aprile - are organizing the world premiere of the brand-new restoration of what is, even today, the top masterpiece in Czech cinema: The deadly invention (Vynález zkázy) by Karel Zeman, drawn from the timeless classic by Jules Verne.

 

The film will be screened at the same time at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, at the Museum of Moving Image in New York and at the National Cinema Museum in Turin - Cinema Massimo on Friday 10 at 8.00 p.m. The film will also have repeat screenings during the following days until Sunday 19 July. For this occasion, the Karel Zeman Museum is also setting up an exhibition dedicated to this brilliant filmmaker and animator, considered by everyone as the true heir of Georges Méliès, on the first floor at the Cinema Massimo. Free admission to the first screening. Admission to repeat screenings 3.00 euro.
