The 18th CinemAmbiente Environmental Film Festival is kicking off at the Cinema Massimo.
The CinemAmbiente festival, reaching its 18th edition this year, is back at the Cinema Massimo. It will be a special edition, moved from its traditional June dates to October, in order to join Feeding Cities, a project by the City of Turin which will see several cultural events flanking the Local Economic Development World Forum.
The opening film will be 10 Milliarden (10 Billion: What's on Your Plate?) by Valentin Thurn. The programmed films will feature La Glace et le Ciel (Ice and the sky) by Luc Jacquet, Oscar winner for La marche de l'empereur (The march of the penguins) The traditional competitions will be back: the international one, with 8 documentary premieres including Bikes vs Cars, and How to Change the World about the story of the Greenpeace founders. Reportages from all over the world will take part in the One Hour competition, while the Italian Documentaries Competition will reserve big surprises. The themes proposed by the various films will be investigated during eight Ecotalks. Admission is free.
