Gianni Amelio. The paper screen

Photo-strip stories were an extraordinarily successful trend in the 1950s, a completely Italian specialty. The exhibit features a selection of 30 covers and inside pages from some of the most significant photo-strip stories, from its origins to the 1960s: “comic strip” films and “photo-strip stories based on films.”

Outdoor set up: 17 large-format panels (cm 140x140); each photo is printed on a Dibond® panel with a metal hook on the back.
