The National Cinema Museum presents Victor Fleming’s film Gone with the Wind in a 2K digital version for the LEGEND FILM FESTIVAL.


The National Cinema Museum presents a screening of Victor Fleming’s film Gone with the Wind in a 2K digital version on Monday, 14th February 2011 starting at 3.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Two. The film is the fifth Turin-based event of the Legend Film Festival, organised by Nexo Digital in partnership with the National Cinema Museum. The film will be repeated at 8.00 p.m. Admission: €7.00/5.00/3.50.

The Legend Film Festival is a touring film exhibition comprised of different sections which will visit many Italian cities during the months it is running. It is a true cultural event that focuses on the masterpieces of the cinema, screening them in digital 2k and audio Dolby Digital 5.1 formats.

The MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film presents Ralph Nelson’s film Soldier Blue.


The National Cinema Museum presents the restoration of Ralph Nelson’s film Soldier Blue on Tuesday, 15 February 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, screening the copy reprinted by Tamasa Distribution/Studio Canal, a complete and uncut version produced in line with the film director’s own intentions. The film is the sixth screening in the new and exciting season of the MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.

 

Wednesday 16 February 2011, at 6.30/8.30 p.m.

Cinema Massimo inaugurates the second edition of the SCHERMI AMERICANI (AMERICAN SCREENS): Approaches to the neo-western, with a screening of Tommy Lee Jones’s film The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and Clint Eastwood’s film Unforgiven. Between one screening and the next, there will be a talk by Giaime Alonge and Matteo Pollone. 

 

The National Cinema Museum and the Dams college for the performing arts of the University of Turin present the second edition of the successful festival SCHERMI AMERICANI (AMERICAN SCREENS): Approaches to the neo-western.

This retrospective festival will open on Wednesday, 16 February 2011 in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three with two westerns, a classic genre par excellence which nevertheless has contemporary relevance. Tommy Lee Jones’s film The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada will be screened at 6.30 p.m., after which there will be a talk by Giaime Alonge and Matteo Pollone. Afterwards, at 8.30 p.m., there will be a screening of Clint Eastwood’s film Unforgiven. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
