Howard Hawks’s Gentlemen Prefer Blondes for SPETTACOLO DI VARIETÀ (VARIETY PERFORMANCE): Classic American musicals. Introduced by Attilio Palmieri.

 

As part of SPETTACOLO DI VARIETÀ (VARIETY PERFORMANCE): Classic American musicals, the National Cinema Museum presents a screening of Howard Hawks’s film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in the Bibliomediateca, on Monday, 21 November 2011 at 3.30 p.m. Introduced by Attilio Palmieri.



- MONDAY 21 NOVEMBER – at 8.30 p.m.

The opening event in the series UN MUSEO PER L’AFRICA (A MUSEUM FOR AFRICA) features a screening of Mariscica fu la prima by Annamaria Gallone, who will present the film alongside Giuseppe Gariazzo.

 

The opening evening of the UN MUSEO PER L’AFRICA (A MUSEUM FOR AFRICA) series of events, talks and screenings on the African continent – a National Cinema Museum project – will be on Monday, 21 November 2011 at 8.30 p.m. and will feature a screening of the documentary Mariscica fu la prima by Annamaria Gallone. The event has been organised by the African film critic and scholar Giuseppe Gariazzo, who will present the film alongside its director, a film that tackles the subject of the migration of Cape Verde’s women in a particularly sensitive and subtle way.

 


- WEDNESDAY 23 NOVEMBER– at 4.30 p.m.

A talk on the books Il teatro in televisione by Franco Prono and La scena tecnologica by Andrea Balzola for the NUOVI ORIZZONTI DELLA TEORIA (NEW THEORETICAL HORIZONS): series of talks on film and media.

 

In conjunction with the publication of Franco Prono’s book Il teatro in televisione and Andrea Balzola’s La scena tecnologica (published by Dino Audino Editore), the National Cinema Museum presents a new event in the NUOVI ORIZZONTI DELLA TEORIA (NEW THEORETICAL HORIZONS): series of talks on film and media with a roundtable discussion on the relationship between theatre, television and new media in the Bibliomediateca, on Wednesday, 23 November 2011 at 4.30 p.m.
