Carnival tunes into a Musical at the National Cinema Museum!

Celebrate Carnival by tuning into a musical at the National Cinema Museum!

For the occasion of the #SoundFrames exhibition, the TMA Turin Musical Academy pupils will perform on stage at the Temple Hall, on Saturday 10 February, with choreographies from Grease and Singin' in The Rain!

Umbrellas and raincoats, rockabilly hairdos and leather jackets, dirndl skirts and rock'n roll!

It’s Carnival! Come to the Museum dressed-up as one of the protagonists of Grease, Singin' in the Rain or other great musicals in history, to celebrate together!

Show: 8.00 p.m.

Repeat show at 9.30 p.m.

Included in the admission ticket (10 euro); free for Museums Season-ticket pass holders, until full capacity is reached.

6.00 p.m. Animated tour – ANYTHING GOES AT CARNIVAL!

The century-old guardian of the Museum treasures, a noisy, enterprising and rather annoying pitchman, will sorely try the patience of the guide and visitors.

Cost: 6.00€  + Reduced admission

During the Carnival holidays, the Museum will feature a special opening on Shrove Tuesday, 13 February, from 9.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.

Moreover, for the entire period, the public and families may take part in the guided tours every day, from 10 to 13 February:

- 11 a.m. Guided tours for children and families - TOYS and TALES BEFORE THE INVENTION OF THE CINEMA-

From shadow-play to the first animated cartoons, in a tale winding through the discovery of optical games and shows before the birth of cinema.

- 4.00 p.m. Guided tour – DISCOVERING THE CINEMA MUSEUM

For getting to know the Museum and its wonders, from shadow-play to the Lumière brothers, up to the great protagonists of film history.
