Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
The National Museum of Cinema at the Mole Antonelliana and the Panoramic Lift reopen. Until Piedmont remains in risk area yellow, they will be open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 6pm. There will be a concessionary fee for all visitors and entrance to the Museum will be free for visitors under 26.

The Wearing the film: Annamode’s costumes from Cinecittà to Hollywood exhibition, curated by Elisabetta Bruscolini, will be on until April 11th 2021.
Guided tours will continue to be available (max 10 people in a group) and reservation is compulsory (please contact prenotazioni@museocinema.it)
Every day from 3 to 5pm, and until the 5th March, the Museum will offer the new initiative Backstage. Meet the conservators: free 20-minutes focus sessions with curators from some Museum’s departments. A unique opportunity to discover for the first time or rediscover the wealth and importance of the Museum’s collection, hearing directly from those who manage it and preserve it every day. Booking is compulsory – until full capacity is reached.

"Historic photography, the birth of a collection" Wednesday (3, 3:30, 4, 4:30pm)
In conversation with Roberta Basano, head of the Photographic Collection
The Museum’s photographic collection includes over a million images: a precious collection that tells the history of cinema as well as the history of photography. A rare case of a Museum of Cinema and Photography on a global scale, whose collection retraces the origins and development of photography. Why does the photographic collection came into existence? How to best preserve it and enhance it? Which treasures are kept in storage? Roberta Basano will answer these questions and other curiosities.

What is behind a collection of over 535.000 advertising posters and materials? An insight into how coloured paper sheets, originally meant to be posted on walls or at the cinema for a few weeks. subsequently became a permanent fixture in the world of collecting, auction houses, books and museums. Nicoletta Pacini will tell you how movie posters are preserved, displayed, purchased. A little journey into a large and colourful world, an essential testament to the history of cinema.
"Preserving and displaying the Archaeology of Cinema" - Friday (3, 3:30, 4, 4:30pm)

Preservation, enhancement and display are the essential keywords in every museum: we invite you to join us on a walk around the floor that hosts the Archaeology of Cinema to discover the origins of a display, the criteria to display a work of art and preserve it. In this conversation with Raffaella Isoardi you will discover the challenges to overcome in preserving such a heterogeneous collection (over 500 different types of objects dating back to different eras) as well as interesting trivia about works which are not on display.
