The second MAGNIFICENT VISION in the new season is Elia Kazan’s America, America. Before the screening, the DVD of Martin Scorsese’s documentary A letter to Elia will be presented.

The National Cinema Museum presents Elia Kazan’s film America, America on Tuesday, 13 September 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, showing the copy owned by the UCLA Film & Television Archive and restored with funding from The Film Foundation. Before the screening, Gian Luca Farinelli, the director of Bologna city council’s film archive, will present the DVD of Martin Scorsese’s documentary A Letter to Elia, published by the archive. There will be a repeat showing on Wednesday, 14 September at 4 p.m. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
The film is one of the events in the new and exciting season of MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): the Permanent Festival of Restored Film.
