For the MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film, the National Cinema Museum presents René Clément’s film La Bataille du rail.
After the summer break, the MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film returns on Tuesday, 6 September 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, where the National Cinema Museum presents René Clément’s film La Bataille du rail (The Battle of the Rails) screening an HD digital copy restored by Fullimage, in conjunction with the INA, Paris. A repeat screening will be shown on Wednesday, 7 September at 4.30 p.m. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
La Bataille du rail is one of the events in the new and exciting season of the MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film which this year, as ever, thanks to its enormous success among members of the public and critics alike during its past editions, will hold four events every month, showcasing cinema masterpieces from the golden age of classic film, ranging from silent film to the nouvelles vagues of the 1960s and beyond, in restored copies loaned from the most prestigious film archives in the world. The films will be shown in their original versions with Italian subtitles and every screening will be introduced – whenever possible – by film directors, critics or celebrities from the world of film and culture.
