A screening of Jonathan Demme's film-concert Stop Making Sense for CROSSROADS.

 

 For January's CROSSROADS evening, the National Cinema Museum presents Jonathan Demme's “rockumentary” Stop Making Sense on Friday, 13 January 2012, at 8.45 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo's Screen Three, considered one of the best examples of the “concert movie” genre after Martin Scorsese's The Last Waltz. There will be a second screening on Saturday, 14 January 2012 at 4.30 p.m. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euros.

To mark the presentation of the competition regulations for “Lavori in corto”, the National Cinema Museum Association and the Riccardo Braghin Association present the national premiere of the  documentary Privilegi operai by Gianni Ubaldo Canale and Gianfranco Crua.

The National Cinema Museum presents Rainer Werner Fassbinder's Despair for MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): The Permanent Festival of Restored Film.

 

The National Cinema Museum presents Rainer Werner Fassbinder's film Despair on Tuesday, 17 January 2012 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo's Screen Three, screening a copy restored by Bavaria Film. There will be a repeat screening on Wednesday, 18 January 2012 at 4 p.m. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euros.

 

 

- WEDNESDAY 18 JANUARY, 8.45 p.m. – SCREEN THREE

A screening of the best short animated films produced by the students of CSC Piemonte for CORTI D’AUTORE (SHORT ART FILMS). Presented by Giaime Alonge.

 

Cinema Massimo presents a selection of the best short films created by the young artists enrolled in the animation course run by Piedmont's CSC Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Cinematography Centre) for CORTI D’AUTORE (SHORT ART FILMS), on Wednesday, 18 January 2011, at 8.45 p.m. in Screen Three. The evening's presenter will be Giaime Alonge (University of Turin). Admission: 3.00 euros.

The event has been organised by Piedmont's CSC, as part of the CORTI D’AUTORE (SHORT ART FILMS) series organised by the Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio (the national short film centre) in partnership with the National Cinema Museum.
