Cinema Massimo – from 6 to 29 June, Screen Three

 

 Tutta la memoria del mondo. Il cinema di Alain Resnais (All the memory in the world. The cinema of Alain Resnais).

 

The National Cinema Museum pays a tribute to Alain Resnais – a filmmaker considered amongst the most important worldwide and a theorist of the nouvelle vague - from Wednesday 6 to Friday 29 June, with a retrospective titled All the memory in the world. The cinema of Alain Resnais.

The showcase will be inaugurated Wednesday 6 June 2012, at 3 p.m., on Screen Three in the Cinema Massimo, with the screening of films Smoking and No Smoking, twin films awarded by the Silver Bear in Berlin in 1994 and inspired by Intimate Exchanges, a theatrical folly by Alan Ayckbourn, the most performed playwright in England in the '80s.
