PREMIERE: Nel nome del padre (In the name of the father) by Marco Bellocchio

 

The National Cinema Museum is pleased to present the film Nel nome del padre by Marco Bellocchio, in the version re-edited by Bellocchio himself on the occasion of the 68th Venice Film Festival, which paid a tribute to the director from Piacenza with a Golden Lion to his career, from Friday 24 to Thursday 30 August 2012, on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. The screenings will take place at 4.30/6.15/8.30/10.15 p.m. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.

FILM EVENT: Frankenstein by Danny Boyle

 

After the sell-out at the National Theatre in London, Frankenstein by Danny Boyle is offered on Screen Two at the Cinema Massimo, in a version filmed for the large screen in which the filmmaker – and artistic director of the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony – stages the evergreen gothic story by Mary Shelley in a thrilling portrayal. An event organised by Nexo Digital and offered to the Italian public only for a few days. The screenings will take place Saturday 25, Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 August 2012, at 9 p.m.. Admission: 10.00/8.00 euro.

This revolutionary experiment is accompanied by the screening of film Frankenstein Jr. by Mel Brooks, distributed in a restored version by Nexo Digital. The screenings will take place – always on Screen Two at the Cinema Massimo - Friday 24, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 August 2012, at 4.30/6.30/9.00 p.m. and Saturday 25, Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 August 2012, at 4.30/6.30 p.m. Admission: 7.00/5.00/4.00 euro.
