Mole Antonelliana, Torino

A cura di: Marcello Sorgi

Five years after his death, a large exhibition of images, photos and films remembers Gianni Agnelli. Italy’s most important industrialist, the country’s best-known figure abroad, Agnelli was the head of one of the world’s greatest entrepreneurial dynasties, one of the few to have straddled two centuries of history.
After its presentation in Rome, the exhibit comes to the Mole Antonelliana; the 20th century is the backdrop to the life of Gianni Agnelli. Organized by Cynthia Sgarallino, the over two hundred and fifty photos were taken by some of the most famous Italian and foreign photographers in the world, Krieger, Harari, Lessing, Newton. Many of the images belong to the Historical Archives of Fiat and La Stampa, as well as to the archives of Vito Liverani, who first thought up the exhibit.
The catalogue of the exhibition, curated by Marcello Sorgi, is published by Skira, Milan.
