Donato Sansone. Metaversi

Mole Antonelliana - From April 7th to September 8th, 2025

Donato Sansone. Metaversi

Starting April 7th, 2025, the welcome area of the National Museum of Cinema in Turin will host the exhibition Donato Sansone. Metaversi, showcasing a selection of works by the artist known for his surreal and provocative creations. Using a variety of techniques, Sansone translates different visions of reality into graphic lines and animation. Curated by Bruno Di Marino, the exhibition will run until September 8th, 2025.

Sansone explores the boundary between traditional drawing and digital innovation, bringing to life animated visions that defy categorization. His work features a constant play of forms, signs, and layers that merge craftsmanship with technological experimentation, resulting in an irreverent and playful immersive experience.

“The decision to dedicate his first solo exhibition to him,” comments Carlo Chatrian, director of the National Museum of Cinema, “reflects the value and significance of Donato Sansone’s work in today’s politically correct world. The works on display — as well as those that exist independently in the many metaverses around us — deconstruct our established criteria of taste and value.”

The exhibition, set up in the welcome area of the Mole Antonelliana, is included with the Museum’s admission ticket.

To mark the opening of the exhibition, on April 7 at 8:30 pm, Cinema Massimo will host an evening dedicated to Donato Sansone’s work, featuring screenings of his most important creations. The films will be introduced by the artist himself.
