CULT! Rendez-vous with the return on big screen of Django by Sergio Corbucci, digitally restored.

Cinema Massimo – 28 June 2013, 8.30/10.15 p.m.

For its June CULT! meeting, the National Cinema Museum presents the return on big screen of Django by Sergio Corbucci, Friday 28 June 2013, at 8.30 and at 10.15 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.

Digitally restored following the trend promoted by Miike Takashi (Sukiyaki Western Django) and Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained), this cult movie by Sergio Corbucci, who established himself in spaghetti westerns with this film and made both actor Franco Nero (who appears in a cameo in Tarantino’s feature film) and musician Luis Bacalov (who then became a specialist in Italian-style westerns) debut in this genre, hits the big screen again. Considered an extremely violent, cynical and cruel film in that period, in time it has become a classic, beloved by the great authors of post-modern cinema.
