Kick-off for the second part of the At the front. The great war told through films showcase.
Continuation of the retrospective dedicated to the Great War, which centenary falls this year. Sixteen antimilitary films, which have been capable of conveying the value of pacifism and the uselessness of any war and through which the National Cinema Museum intends to retrace a narration of the first world war, will be screened from Friday 10 to Friday 31 October 2014. The event is organised in collaboration with Alliance Française de Turin and Goethe-Institut Turin.
The screening of Umanità by Elvira Giallanella (one of the few women directors in Italian silent cinema) and La guerra e il sogno di Momi by Segundo de Chomon, with live musical accompaniment by Stefano Maccagno and Riccardo Balbinutti, will inaugurate the second part of this showcase, on Friday 10 October at 8.30 p.m. Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
