For the March date of 35mm, – the cycle conceived for enhancing the National Cinema Museum heritage on film – screening of Thirty-two small films about Glenn Gould by François Girard.
Glenn Gould published his version of the Goldberg Variations by Bach exactly sixty years ago in 1955, under the Columbia Masterworks label. In order to recall that historic moment and to celebrate one of the greatest 20th century pianists, the Museum is programming this twenty-year old cult movie – rigorously on film and in its original version with subtitles – directed by a filmmaker, François Girard, who dedicated the greater part of his career to the difficult task of ‘filming music’. Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
