For the IF YOU THINK EIGHT HOURS SEEM FEW… showcase, screening of La classe operaia va in paradiso by Elio Petri.

Library/Mediatheque – 14 April 2015, 3.30 p.m. - Events Room

New rendez-vous with the IF YOU THINK EIGHT HOURS SEEM FEW… Cinema, Workers & Unions showcase, with the film screening of La classe operaia va in paradiso (The Working Class Goes to Paradise) by Elio Petri. Admission free.

This showcase – organised in collaboration with the Italian Pensioners Union - CGIL Turin, National Resistance Film Archive and Circoscrizione 3 – City of Turin – intends to offer various hints for reflecting upon the complex reality of work, often made up of bitterness and disillusion, but also of dignity and struggles. The screenings will be introduced by contributions aiming at contextualising the films, as well as the trade-union and working dynamics therein depicted.
