The first [Import] for 2016 is Le dernier coup de marteau by French director Alix Delaporte.

The successful monthly [Import] rendez-vous is continuing into this new year, with the aim of bringing the very latest films which received great accolades at international festivals, but did not find any distribution in Italy, to the cinema. The proposal for January is Le dernier coup de marteau (The last hammer blow), second film directed by French filmmaker Alix Delaporte, after her awarded Angèle and Tony. The film is a delicate story about growth and a melodrama with light and just hinted tones. The title is about the last blow of the hammer that Gustav Mahler wished to execute whilst playing his sixth symphony, to underline a painful period in his life.
