THE LABORATORY OF THE FUTURE – Tribute to the TorinoFilmLab showcase
The National Cinema Museum is presenting THE LABORATORY OF THE FUTURE – Tribute to the TorinoFilmLab showcase, from Tuesday 14 to Wednesday 29 June at the Cinema Massimo.
This showcase wishes to be a moment for highlighting the huge job done over eight years by the TorinoFilmLab team, which has contributed to the production of fifty-seven international films of high cultural and filmic value, some of which have won prestigious awards worldwide. An important goal that we wish to celebrate, by presenting seven films, selected among the ones which have not found any distribution in Italy.
The opening evening (with free admission) on Tuesday 14 June at 9.00 p.m., will feature the lovely Mr. Kaplan by Alvaro Brechner, who returned behind the camera again, following his personal success with Mal día para pescar (A bad day for fishing) in 2009, also thanks to the TorinoFilmLab. The film is one of the flagships for this talent-laboratory in Turin, in fact it was chosen by Uruguay as its Best Foreign Film candidate for the Academy Awards in 2015. The director will meet the audience at the cinema after the screening.
For the other screenings: admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
