The movie rendez-vous by the Turin Psychoanalysis Centre are resuming, with No by Pablo Larrain.
Cinema Massimo – 27 September 2017, 9.00 p.m. – Screen Three
Continuing its collaboration with the National Cinema Museum, in its commitment for researching meanings that are useful for the social dimension of existence, the Turin Psychoanalysis Centre is proposing a commented viewing of Pablo Larrain’s experiential film No as a positive moment for reflection.
In this film, the group of volunteers working at the impossible task of subverting Pinochet’s dictatorship also over the media, is aware of the power coming from recording and broadcasting information and of the importance of reaching wide numbers of the population. The harsh, painful, and also intrapersonal confrontation amongst the group members for the choice and the quality of the message to be shared, marks an extraordinary and unexpected shift which leads to victory. The deep intuition at the basis of this winning communication, in our opinion, rests upon certain pivots in human feelings which may still give aid nowadays, and increasingly, for overcoming fear and for the actual growth of new experiences. The film will be introduced and commented by Maria Annalisa Balbo. Admission 6.00/4.00 euro.
