Hunky Dory

(Usa 2016, 88', DCP, col., o.v. it.s/t)

Inspired by David Bowie's song, from which he has taken his name, Sidney works as a drag queen at night. He is bisexual, narcissistic and completely devoid of the usual clichés of this genre, and is much loved by his eleven year-old son George, who lives with his mother. He is always around at night, in the hope of getting some money, but soon this world of his of indecision will have to change. Defined by music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine as "an overwhelming mix of high and low filmic art, of ambiguous sexuality, of kitsch and class".
