Tracce di Bene (Traces of Bene)

(Italy 2017, 56’, DCP, col.)

A lost confession by Carmelo Bene resurfaces from oblivion. It is a confidential voice, able to evoke intimate, universal memories, fragments of life and cinema. This portrait/tribute to one of the protagonists of Twentieth century European theatre passes through novel images and confessions, captured in a long audio interview. The film was conceived by Sansonna together with journalist Giancarlo Dotto, who made unique and rare material available.
