Auteur Shorts is presenting Music in short: a selection of short films regarding the varied relationships between cinema and music.
Cinema Massimo – 28 February 2018, 8.30 p.m. – Screen Three
AUTEUR SHORTS, the rendez-vous organised by the CNC - National Short-film Centre, is back in February at the Cinema Massimo, proposing a shorts selection titled Music in short.
Music has always been the faithful companion of filmic narration. From silent cinema to our days, music soundtracks have been a fundamental support, if not the core, of many films. Within the close relationship between film and music, short films occupy a particular role, so much so, that even nowadays shorts are wholly musical. In this small incursion into Italian contemporary production, organised for the occasion of the opening of the SoundFrames exhibition, with its Music in short evening the National Short-film Centre will highlight the relationship between cinema and music in various branches, going from accompaniment, to the narrative topic of films, to rhythmic exchange, to the staging of small musical dramas.
Admission 4 euro.
