Actress Sandrine Bonnaire’s first film as a director, titled Elle s’appelle Sabine (Her name is Sabine), is our May 35mm, the cycle envisaged for enhancing the National Cinema Museum film heritage.
In this film, which is such an intimate work it seems a private diary, the director concentrates on her sister Sabine, affected by autism and hosted within a small community after being mistakenly interned in a psychiatric hospital for five years. Print from the fund of Les Films du Paradoxe, held by the Museum film archive. Screening organised in collaboration with cinemAutismo and the National Cinema Museum Association.
