Introducing the DVD “Maciste: The strong man”.

The DVD+ booklet Maciste: The Strong Man, by Claudia Gianetto and Stella Dagna, produced by Bologna's Cineteca film library and The National Museum of Cinema, for Edizioni Cineteca di Bologna, will be presented in Turin. The DVD features Maciste, (Vincenzo Dénizot and Romano Luigi Borgnetto, 1915), the first in the series of films that star Maciste, "the strong man" and hero, played by Bartolomeo Pagano, in the version restored by The National Museum of Cinema, Turin and Bologna's Cineteca. This restored version is the result of a film restoration project covering the entire series of films, which was begun in 2005. The authors, Claudia Gianetto and Stella Dagna, as well as Giulia Carluccio from the University of Turin, will attend.
