The MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS) Festival’s second evening features Lindsay Anderson’s This Sporting Life, introduced by Alessandro Baricco

The National Cinema Museum presents its second evening in the MAGNIFICHE VISIONI: Festival Permanente del Film Restaurato (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS: The permanent festival of restored film) on Tuesday, 9 February 2010 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen 3. The evening will focus on the restoration of the film This Sporting Life by Lindsay Anderson, the founder of British free cinema, which will be screened in a digital 2K edition, restored by Park Circus. The screening will be introduced by the writer Alessandro Baricco.

Entered at the Cannes Film Festival, where the actor and star Richard Harris won an award for Best Actor, the film tells the story of a miner who becomes a famous rugby player.
