Conversations in Court 2010 – A roundtable to reflect on the image of Jesus in the history of cinema.
Saturday 8 May 2010, at 6.00 p.m., at the Reggia di Venaria, the beautiful setting of the newly restored Citroniera by Filippo Juvarra will host the roundtable entitled The image of Jesus in the history of the cinema, organised by the National Cinema Museum and the Venaria Reale, as part of the grand exhibition ECCE HOMO. The image of Jesus in the history of the cinema, open to visitors at the National Cinema Museum of Turin from 26 March to 6 June 2010.
Speakers at the roundtable will be Mons. Timothy Verdon (curator of the exhibit Gesu. Il volto, il corpo dell’arte which will be held at the Venaria Reale from 1 April to 1 August 2010), Mons. Dario Viganò (President of the Board of Entertainment), Prof. Tomaso Subini (Milan University) and Don Giuseppe Ghiberti (President of the Committee for the Exposition of the Shroud). Debate chaired by Alberto Barbera (Director of the National Cinema Museum). Admission: free.
