As part of the DREAMS AND LIGHT: The Films of Victor Erice festival, the Spanish film director will present his film El Espiritu de la Colmena (The Spirit of the Beehive) to the public.

The National Cinema Museum pays tribute to the work of Vìctor Erice – the versatile Basque film director and screenwriter with a refined audio-visual language – with a complete retrospective organised by Stefano Francia di Celle entitled The Dream of Light: The films of Vìctor Erice.

The retrospective, which will be held at Cinema Massimo from the 3rd to the 7th of November 2010, is a National Cinema Museum project, produced in partnership with Rosebud Films, Filmoteca Española, UCLA Film & Television Archive, Camm Cinco, Nautilus Films, Olivo Film, Amip Multimedia, Ripley’s Film and the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona. Erice, alongside Alberto Barbera and Stefano Francia di Celle, will meet the general public of Turin on Thursday the 4th of November (at 8.30 p.m.), at Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, before the screening of his film El Espiritu de la Colmena (The Spirit of the Beehive), featuring the copy preserved by the Filmoteca Española.
