Bibliomediateca – From 12th to 18th march 2010

A presentation of the books Oltre il cinema. Metropoli e media (Beyond the Cinema: Metropolis and Media) by Simone Arcagni and I film in tasca. Videofonino, cinema e televisione (Films in your pocket: Videophones, cinema and television) by Maurizio Ambrosini, Giovanna Maina and Elena Marcheschi for the DIALOGHI IN CORSO festival.

A new event at the Bibliomediateca as part of the DIALOGHI IN CORSO: Presentation of new books, DVDs and readings festival. The books Oltre il cinema. Metropoli e media by Simone Arcagni, published by Edizioni Kaplan, 2010 and I film in tasca. Videofonino, cinema e televisione by Maurizio Ambrosini, Giovanna Maina and Elena Marcheschi, published by Felici Editore, as part of the Cinema & New Media series, 2009, will be presented. The writers Alessandro Amaducci (University of Turin), Enrico Terrone (film critic) and Federico Zecca (University of Udine) will participate. Introduction by Sonia Del Secco (National Museum of Cinema). Afterwards there will be a screening of Brian De Palma’s film Redacted.

A screening of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s film Il vangelo secondo Matteo (The gospel according to St Matthew) as part of the ECCE HOMO: The face of Jesus in the history of film festival

The film festival ECCE HOMO: The face of Jesus in the history of cinema opens on Monday 15 March 2010 with a screening of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s film Il vangelo secondo Matteo. Organised in conjunction with a large exhibition of the same name – which will open its doors on the 26th of March at The National Museum of Cinema – the festival has been organised by the Bibliomediateca and the director is Silvio Alovisio (University of Turin), while the festival is run by the university film society Sperduti nel buio.
