Event-evening for PLANET AFRICA with an exhibition, a screening and the presentation of a book on the work carried out over the past ten years in Senegal by “I bambini di Ornella” Onlus Ass.

Library/Mediatheque– 18 November 2015, 6.00 p.m. – Events Room

New rendez-vous for Planet Africa dedicated to “I bambini di Ornella” Onlus Association on Wednesday 18 November, at 6.00 p.m., in the Events Room at the “Mario Gromo” Library/Mediatheque.

Founded in 2005, it operates within the Como territory in close relationship with its twin “Les enfants d’Ornella” in Senegal. It sprang from an idea of Severino Proserpio’s and his beloved wife Ornella, who selected Kelle, after years spent searching for a place where they could establish their dream, a village belonging to the Yene rural community, which includes nine villages dedicated to farming and fishing.

To celebrate the Association’s tenth anniversary, a photography exhibition will be set up and a few video documents will be screened in the “Mario Gromo” Library/Mediatheque venues, showing life in the Kelle village in Senegal.
