The MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film presents the restoration of Frank Borzage’s film Seventh Heaven.

Cinema Massimo – 25 January 2011, at 8.45 p.m.

On Tuesday, the 25th January 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, the National Cinema Museum will present the wonderful silent film Seventh Heaven by Frank Borzage, in HD, screening the copy digitally restored by Carlotta Film.

In this magnificent popular melodrama – which met with great success in its time, a success which was crowned with three Oscars – Frank Borzage tackles serious issues such as love, religion and war with a refined poetic hand. The entire concept is already laid out at the film’s start: ‘For those who will climb it, there is a ladder leading from the depths to the heights – from the sewer to the stars – the ladder of courage.’

The film is the third screening in our new and exciting season of MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): Permanent Festival of Restored Film. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
