The National Cinema Museum inaugurates the festival SCANDALI BORGHESI (BOURGEOIS SCANDALS): A Tribute to Alberto Lattuada. To mark the occasion, Goffredo Fofi and Gianni Volpi will present the book Alberto Lattuada

The National Cinema Museum pays tribute to the films of Alberto Lattuada – the Italian film director, screenwriter, actor and film producer – with a wide-ranging retrospective entitled Bourgeois Scandals.

The retrospective – which will be held from the 1st to the 15th February 2011 – will be officially inaugurated on Wednesday, 2nd February 2011 at 8.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, with a screening of La spiaggia, introduced by Goffredo Fofi and Gianni Volpi who will present the book on Alberto Lattuada (published by the A.I.A.C.E.). Before the film, there will be a screening of the short film Gli italiani si voltano (Italians Turn Around, Italy 1953, 14’). Admission: €5.50/4.00/3.00.

The tribute to Lattuada, considered one of the most important creators of Italian cinema in the 1950s, has been organised by the National Cinema Museum and A.I.A.C.E. Nazionale, produced in partnership with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (the Experimental Cinematography Centre) – the National Film Archive, the Fondazione Cineteca Italiana and Bologna city council’s film archive.

To mark the occasion, A.I.A.C.E. Nazionale has published the book Alberto Lattuada by Gianni Volpi with an introduction by Goffredo Fofi.
